If Music Be The Food Of Love…..

Friday, February 14th, 2014 by Justine<

A couple of years ago we decided that it was time to lavish a little Eyeful love on an area oft neglected by businesses – hold music.

Being on hold can be one of the most life-force-sucking wastes of time available and it’s easily made better (or worse) by the quality of what you’re forced to listen to. After all you’re not going to dare to stop listening because of that infernal universal law ensuring that your call will only be answered during a period of inattention on your part.

In true Eyeful style we decided to eschew Greensleeves and turn our backs on unending lists of services that would be available, should anybody ever answer the phone. We set out to make the on hold experience altogether more entertaining. So every month a member of our HQ team chooses a favourite track and we tell our holdees a little bit about that person and why they picked that track.

Consequently (and quite apart from being one of the best presentation consultancy and design services in the world) I’m confident in saying that we’re probably unique when it comes to receiving requests to be put back on hold.

The whole project has been much more successful than we could have imagined and now we’re hoping to spread the love by offering our friends, customers and followers the chance to join in.

All you need to do is click on this link and tell us what you’d like to hear and why, then our Earful audio guru Matt will work his magic and you’ll be able to hear your favourite tune every time you ring us.

Lights, Camera, Action!!

Thursday, April 26th, 2012 by Justine<

Here at Eyeful Presentations we are often carried away by our own enthusiasm for a project but recently we’ve been riding the wave of something that actually out-enthused us.

It began with a simple quest to make our lives a little easier – we needed a new solution to customer relationship management. So we shopped around to see what and who was out there. By the by we got chatting to The CRM Business and began the process of integrating Microsoft CRM into our systems. So far so good (but let’s be honest – not exactly a Hollywood Blockbuster).

The CRM Business turned out to have a lot in common with Eyeful Presentations (mostly the ability to achieve results and go above and beyond on customer service and all without losing their sense of humour) and a mutual appreciation society was born!

So we cajoled in our sister company Earful Productions and recorded some testimonial podcasts for The CRM Business. Which caught the ear of Microsoft. Who asked if we would help them with a case study. And then a video.

So Simon had a haircut, desks were tidied, the office sprouted flowers and Microsoft sent a film crew. A proper one – with a boom!!

Obviously there will be an extensive process of creative control before we can roll out the red carpet but we’ll be sure to invite you all to the premiere!!

Eyeful 2011 Review

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012 by Justine<

2011 was a big year for Eyeful Presentations in more ways than one. Ever keen to stand out from the crowd we have continued to laugh in the face of conformity by growing steadily throughout the year.

New customers, new people, new departments, new systems and new countries – 2011 has featured them all.

The temptation to list everything in full is great.  BUT in true Eyeful style we are beautifully sidestepping a traditional bullet point intermission and we would love you to take a moment with the lilting tones of Mr Morton instead…  Enjoy!

Our Matt – BBC Radio 1 Superstar DJ!

Sunday, May 22nd, 2011 by Simon<

One of the longest standing members of the Eyeful gang is “Audio Producer/PowerPoint Technician Matt“.

Over the last few years, we’ve seen Matt turn his hand to all manner of fancy new presentation technologies.  When it comes to presentation re-purposing options, this man is in a class of his own…

Throughout this time, he’s managed to maintain his passion for audio production and broadcasting.  This makes sense when you realise that in a previous life, Matt was a broadcaster of some repute working with a wide range of radio stations and production houses.

Once a radio geek, always a radio geek…

So you can imagine the excitement at Eyeful Towers when news came through that Matt had been asked to go to BBC Radio 1 to contribute to a live evening show.

Like proud parents, the Eyeful gang waved Matt off as he travelled down to the “big smoke” to experience both the excitement of presenting to a nation and the taste of the infamous BBC coffee.

Here’s what happened…

Christmas/Birthdays/Anniversaries – Any Excuse for a Cake…

Thursday, December 30th, 2010 by Simon<

Just a quick blog, this one…  Here’s the caveat – this has absolutely nothing to do with presentations, PowerPoint or Keynote.

Nope – we just thought we’d take some time out during the post Christmas/pre-New Year lull to show off the baking talents of “Project Management” Vicki

Exhibit A – Matt’s birthday cake Earful cake - framed

Matt is the audio production wizard behind our sister company, Earful Productions LLP

With this in mind, Vicki set to work to prepare this Earful themed cake, complete with iPod headphones.

Ruddy marvellous and very much in line with Matt’s character.

What concerns me everso slightly is the fact that my birthday cake was in the shape of a dinosaur.  No offence taken, Vicki…
